What is PlainWealth?
+
PlainWealth is a personal finance tracking and investment portfolio monitoring tool designed for long-term, low-cost investors. It helps you track expenses, monitor portfolio allocation across multiple accounts, and stay focused on your long-term financial goals — without the noise, commissions, or complexity of traditional financial platforms.
Does PlainWealth hold my money?
+
No. PlainWealth is a non-custodial tracking tool. We never hold, manage, or have access to your investment funds. Your money stays in your own brokerage and bank accounts. PlainWealth simply helps you track and monitor everything in one place.
Is PlainWealth a financial advisor?
+
No. PlainWealth is not a financial advisor, broker-dealer, or investment advisor. We provide tools for tracking and informational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice. You should consult with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
How do I receive emails from PlainWealth?
+
We send emails to the email address you used to register. Types of emails include: account verification (one-time), password resets (when requested), login security alerts, monthly reports, budget notifications (optional), and rebalancing reminders (optional). All emails come from noreply@bogle.web.id. See our Email Communication Policy for full details.
How do I stop receiving emails?
+
You can manage email preferences in Settings > Communication Preferences. Toggle off any category of email you don't want to receive. Note that certain transactional emails (verification, password reset, security alerts) cannot be fully disabled as they're required for account security. To stop all emails, you would need to delete your account.
How does portfolio tracking work?
+
You enter your holdings manually or import them via CSV. PlainWealth aggregates them across all your accounts (401k, IRA, taxable brokerage, etc.) and shows your overall asset allocation. You can set target allocations and receive rebalancing reminders when your actual allocation drifts beyond your configured tolerance bands.
Can I link my bank accounts automatically?
+
Currently, PlainWealth supports manual transaction entry and CSV import for expense tracking. We are exploring secure account-linking integrations (via Plaid or similar) for automated transaction syncing. This will always be optional — you can continue to use manual entry if you prefer.
What does it cost?
+
PlainWealth offers a free Starter tier with basic expense tracking and up to 3 accounts. The Plus plan ($5/month or $48/year) includes portfolio tracking, unlimited accounts, rebalancing reminders, and advanced reports. The Family plan ($9/month or $86/year) adds up to 5 family members and shared budgeting. All paid plans include a 30-day free trial. See Pricing for details.
Do you charge AUM fees?
+
Never. PlainWealth charges a flat subscription fee — never a percentage of assets under management (AUM). We believe fees are the enemy of long-term returns, and AUM-based fees are one of the biggest drags on investor wealth.
How do I export my data?
+
You can export all your transactions, portfolio holdings, and reports as CSV or JSON files from the Dashboard. Go to Settings and click "Export Data." Your data is yours — take it with you anytime.
How do I delete my account?
+
You can delete your account through the self-service flow at Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data. We recommend exporting your data first if you want to keep a copy. A confirmation email will be sent upon completion.
Is my data secure?
+
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We host on AWS with strict network security, continuous monitoring, and regular security audits. See our Security Page for full details.
Do you sell my data?
+
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties. Your data is yours alone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use PlainWealth outside the US?
+
Yes! PlainWealth supports multiple currencies and can be used globally. However, some features (like automated bank linking if added in the future) may be US-only initially. Our primary business hours are US Central Time for support.
